An Interesting Book
This is in some sense a prophetic volume, as Lea correctly sees the inevitability of a conflict between the US and Japan, and foresees the plan of attack on the Philippines. However, it is marred by a massive overestimate as to Japan's ability to directly attack the continental US, along with a total lack of any understanding of the logistics of Trans-Pacific campaigns. His contempt of the US governmental structure is difficult to understand, or deal with.
